In a performance-driven world, where individualism influences much of our upbringing, the majority of God’s children have lost the sense of what it means to be part of a body. We have been taught to be “strong and independent,” while our relationships crumble around us, and mental and physical illnesses weigh us down with sorrows. All of this is evidence that we have strayed from God’s perfect design for our marriages, families, and church communities. But His Word is mighty to heal our thought patterns and show us the way of life, if we are willing to receive it.
